From the depths of Chilean extreme metal, Fallen Fortress re-emerges as an unstoppable force challenging its own limits of sound creation and human introspection. Their third studio album, “At the Heart of Emptiness”, marks a return that redefines the foundations of contemporary metal and crowns a two-decade career.

“At the Heart of Emptiness” transcends the musical and becomes an existential journey. It is a descent into the darkest places of being, where lights and shadows intertwine to confront the most intense emotions and the paradigms that define their reality. Among its songs, the single ‘The Source’ stands out, which has a video clip and shows the technical brutality, dense textures and unpredictable changes that predominate in this work.

The production was done at Grindhouse Studios Athens, with the collaboration of George Bokos (former guitarist of Rotting Christ) on some vocals, and enriched by the collaboration of JT García (Torturer). “This new album was inspired by two things: on the one hand, the moment that extreme music is going through in Chile and the world with the release of creative albums, with innovative aesthetics and diverse sounds; and on the other, the story we wanted to tell, based on our own experiences of these last few years, giving life to an album that we hope will surprise everyone,” says Diego Quiroz, singer and guitarist of the band that is completed by Tomás Guerrero on guitar, Daniel Delgado on drums and Christopher Oros on bass.
